I'm a HUGE Tori Amos fan who thinks her albums have been wretched for the past ten years. Her new single, "Welcome To England" prompted a bizarre, probably ill-advised binge of criticism from me.
I just watched this video last night and thought exactly the same thing, student film. It was painful to sit through and all I could think was wtf? I wanted it to be good, I wanted this album to redeem her talent, but based on this first single ... ugh.
I might be a loyal fan, but even I have my limits.

Keep Portland Wierd. Hmm. Guess I'll have to second that.
I'll leave the Amos critique alone, haven't heard enough of her work over the years to step into the middle of it.
Someone remember to bring that review up in about 10 years though, so we can see if the very talented author managed to avoid such pitfalls...
